Who can Vote ?

Any Indian citizen residing within the country, who has attained the age of 18, can enroll himself/herself as General Voter

How To Register to Vote ?

Offline Process-

SMS to 1950

SMS <ECI> space <EPIC No> to 1950 (EPIC stands for Electors Photo Identity Card also commonly known as Voter ID card). Example - If your EPIC is 12345678 then sms ECI 12345678 to 1950

How to check if you are registered to vote ?

There is no registeration fee, its free of cost process

Days

It will take 30-40 days for new voter id ,it will be sent to your home address

If EPIC No. has some errors?

You can make an application in Form 8 for correction of the errors in your EPIC. The Electoral Registration Officer will issue a new EPIC, with the same number, after making the necessary corrections.

For correction of the voter card, it wil take 10-15 days
